To My St. Basil Family

As I prepare for the next phase of my diaconate journey at St. Dominic's, I wanted to express the joy and priviledge of being your deacon over the past 10 years. You have taught me how to serve with charity and above all humility. You are a great community beyond your imagination and will alway be a beacon of Christ's light in the world.

As you know, I became the Director of Religious Education at St. Dominc's Church in Benicia. And when I accepted the job, I thought I could work at St. Dominic's and remain a deacon at St. Basil - but it did not take long to realize that was naive thinking on my part. It became readily apparent that I needed to commit to one parish.

I will miss serving you as your deacon. What a blessing it is to serve this community! You are talented beyond your measure and outdone only by your largeness of heart for St. Basil and Mother Church. I know St. Basil is in capable hands!
