Formed in 1992, the charismatic group meets every Thursday, evening, in the Msgr Byrne room of the church.The group meets to sing, praise and worship the readings from the Mass and reflect  and share how the Word of God helps them lead better lives. The members also pray for the intentions in the parish petition book. The meetings end with fellowship, a sharing in companionship and friendship.

Members also devote time to visit and pray for the sick. serve at the Christian Help Center, and sing Christmas Carols at nursing homes during the holidays.

The charismatic group's work extends beyond St Basil and includes a Tri-Parish Mass held once a quarter. It will be followed next quarter by a Tri-Parish Mass at St Catherine of Siena Church, then at St Vincent Ferrer Church.

The Spirit of The Living God Charismatic Ministry is always looking for new members to join us. You will be welcomed.

• To facilitate in coming together, encouraging active, conscious, and full participation in liturgy and other celebrations, praising and worshiping as One Church, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist
• To sponsor events, and help and support parish programs as those activities reflect our commitment in proclaiming The Gospel and serving in The Kingdom of God in social justice, and serving the needy and the poor
