Mission Statement: The Liturgical / Sacred movement ministry of St. Basil’s Catholic Church, inspired by the love of Jesus Christ, expresses and enhances special liturgies through the art of sacred movement to praise and worship our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who are we: We are St. Basil’s youth and children parishioners who are committed to growing in our faith as we serve each other and God. Our focus is to enhance the Liturgy of the Mass through the art of sacred movement and serve at the table of our Lord.
What We Do: We participate and lead in the gathering and procession at the mass during special liturgies like Christmas, Easter and other Feast Days. Practice is held every Wednesday at 7:30pm - 8:30pm in St. Basil’s Church. Like liturgical music, dance has the ability to draw powerful emotions from the congregation. It can unite diverse groups and add a new perspective to the Mass celebration.
Who can Join Us: Children of active St. Basil’s parishioners are welcome to join, 5 years of age to young adult. Dance experience is not necessary as long as willing to learn the art of sacred movement. We are always eager to welcome children and their parents to this special ministry.
