The Marriage Preparation Ministry provides assistance to couples who wish to be married in St. Basil Catholic Church.

We work with couples over a six (6) month period preceding the marriage. During this period of time, all the necessary paperwork that is needed to comply with the requirements of the Sacramento Diocese is gathered.

Couples must also attend certain diocesan-approved marriage preparation programs. The couple is expected to help plan the ceremony with the aid of Marriage Coordinators and a rehearsal is scheduled and facilitated by the Marriage Coordinators.

On the day of the wedding, the Marriage Coordinators prepare the Church for the ceremony and provide assistance to insure the ceremony proceeds as planned.
