Our Lord Jesus Christ showed His concern for the bodily and spiritual welfare of those who are ill. This ministry is continued by the Church in its Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick.
All commissioned Ministers to the Sick have the responsibility to visit the sick in care homes/facilities, hospitals, and the homebound. Ministers to the Sick are assigned to visit their weekly locations. As servants of our Lord, we pray with the sick and offer the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist only to those who are baptized Catholics.
Praying for those who are sick is an important aspect of a Minister to the Sick. As we lay our hands on the sick, they are filled with the grace, love, and mercy from the Holy Spirit.
Other functions of a Minister to the Sick are being a good listener and compassionate friend.
Meetings are held quarterly, 9:00 AM, Fr. Garrigan Room. Please call the Parish office for meeting dates.
