On July 4 in 1776, the Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. All across the country, this favorite American holidays will be celebrated with red, white and blue flags, fireworks, parades, community and backyard barbecues.
Here in Vallejo, the Knights of Columbus from all three Councils, St Catherine, St Basil, and St Vincent Ferrer will participate in the annual Vallejo 4
th of July parade. The Knights of Columbus Color Corp, made up of 4
th degree members from all three Councils, will also march in the parade. The unit recently passed its annual inspection and received its Official Certification for another Columbian year.
All Knights and their Ladies are invited to a potluck barbecue at Christopher Hall, the home of St Vincent Ferrer’s Council 874 following the parade.
