The Diocese of Sacramento will honor men and women of the armed forces with Masses at Catholic cemeteries on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.
The public is invited to join Bishop Jaime Soto as he shares a Mass of remembrance for the dearly departed. He will preside at Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, located at 6700 21st Ave. in Sacramento. The Knights of Columbus will provide a color guard, the choir and refreshments.
Auxiliary Bishop Myron J. Cotta will celebrate a Mass of remembrance for the dearly departed at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, located at 7101 Verner Ave. in Sacramento. Father Francis Lawler will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, located at 2615 21st St. in Sacramento. Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services of the Diocese of Sacramento will also offer Mass on that day at 10 a.m. at All Souls Cemetery, located at 550 Glen Cove Road in Vallejo.
