St. Basil Youth Group is a group open to all junior high and high school youth who wish to explore and deepen their faith, meet other Catholic youth and have a great time!
  
 Weekly meetings are held on Sundays. In addition to these meetings, additional social activities (rallies and retreats) and service projects are held throughout the year.
  
 The ministry is open to all high school students. Most members are from St. Basil, but we gladly accept youth from other Catholic churches and other faiths as well.

Teen Apostles in Christ consist of former graduate 8th grade religious education students who return the following year to become catechists-in-training. The TAC Ministry, which began over 19 years ago, has become one of the most successful youth ministries at St. Basil.
 
Teens are assigned to religious education classes (K-8) they feel most comfortable. In the class-rooms, teens serve as teacher’s assistants while learning from their adult catechist. As their confidence grows, teens take an interest in the development of class lesson plans. As their ministry matures, teens began to share their faith experiences and assist facilitating at teen retreats.
 
Peer ministry is simply teens ministering to each other.  Teen ministry in a religious education program promotes mentoring and leadership as well. In the classroom setting, adult catechists mentor the teens and the teens mentor the younger religious education students.  They become strong role models of Discipleship.
